Raise your vibrations with DNA activation
This may sound like a medical procedure, but it’s anything but. There’s little physical contact – just the odd light touch as the therapist parts your hair. Sitting still with your head bowed forward, the therapist uses an activated crystal wand to carry out ‘surgery’ in the etheric body (one of seven levels of your aura). While our physical DNA consists of two strands, according to DNA activation therapist Carole Easton, we all have an additional 22 strands stored in our etheric body, known as ‘shadow strands’. During a treatment, the wand touches upon 12 receptor sites, called codons, in the etheric spine and illuminates them with light. This is said to ‘activate your additional DNA’, unlock your divine potential and aid your emotional and spiritual development, so you are better able to create your own destiny.
“Initially the 22 strand activation was used in ancient mystery school traditions as a rite of passage for high priests and priestesses, prophets and oracles,” says Carole, co-director of Lynden Hill Clinic in Berkshire. Carole believes DNA activation is important in the lead up to 2012 so we can all “raise the vibrational frequencies to enable a smooth transition to higher dimensions.”
Sounds cosmic, but what is a treatment like and what can be gained? An activation is said to help clear negative family traits that hold you back, boost self-empowerment and self confidence, increase intuition and psychic abilities, give you more energy, reduce anxiety, strengthen the immune system, as well as create more happiness and contentment. With relationships, it may help couples become more in tune with each other, or, if you still feel attached to the past, help you cut cords to former loves. The work can also take 3-9 months to work down into the physical body so changes may come gradually.
TESTER’S VERDICT:
“After my DNA activation, the nervous twitch I’d had for 16 years had gone”
“Carole began by parting my hair down the middle. During the treatment my neck did ache a bit from having my head drooped for so long, but when she lightly touched my hair I felt tingles down my spine. Carole told me afterwards that her eyes smarted when she was working on a couple of the points and were watering from the sparks (not that I saw this). Afterwards I felt a bit dizzy and sick, but this soon changed to a feeling of expansion; I seemed to feel taller somehow! It’s hard to explain but I did feel a change had taken place in me. Also, I’d had a nervous twitch in my neck for about 16 years and this had very unexpectedly gone, which felt fantastic. Sadly it started up again three weeks later when I was under stress, but this treatment is the only thing that has ever cured my condition, if only temporarily. They say you only need it once but I’d go back for a second go. For me, it was very effective.”
Boost your well-being with Hot Stone Therapy
Our bodies are often said to reflect our emotions – as we are, after all, interconnected beings – so it makes sense that if you want to advance on your spiritual path, you need to get your body in tiptop condition, as any aches and pains could not only be blocking your spiritual and emotional progress, but it could be the case vice versa – that your emotions are creating blocks within your body. One way to iron out any bodily knots is to have a hot stone massage.
Stones have been used in ceremonies across the world for thousands of years but were only introduced to spa treatments in the early Nineties. During a session the therapist uses massage strokes from their own hands, mixed with strokes from pre-heated basalt stones to allow deep tissue relaxation. As the heat penetrates the body’s soft tissues, this is said to have a balancing affect on your energy flow (chi), bringing alignment to the body and mind. Sometimes cold stones are also used in addition to the warm ones.
Benefits from this type of massage include: release of tension in connective tissue; increased circulation and elimination of waste products; relaxation; reduction of muscle spasms.
Although hot stone massage may not be new on the scene, therapist Trevor England combines his therapy with reiki healing, to help you spiritually as well as physically. Previously a stage performer, Trevor trained in the healing arts after having sustained an injury, as he wanted to find more holistic ways of treating himself and others.
“The stones help us connect with Earth as they are born in the core of the planet and, throughout time, work their way to the surface. Much like crystals, these igneous rocks have been imbued with energetic and healing attributes, which helps to energise and rebalance the spirit of the receiver, allowing them to gain equilibrium in their mind and body,” says Trevor.
“During the treatment I use my reiki gifts to connect with the universal energies, channeling this to the client. No two treatments will be the same as I work intuitively with each person, sensing and focusing my intent on areas of imbalance. This can be a deeply relaxing experience for both the receiver and for myself, and it is common to feel a spiritual connection during the treatment.”
TESTER’S VERDICT:
“I did enjoy this massage and the stones felt wonderful. The heat really sinks you’re your skin and adds to the benefits. However, at times it felt a little like I was lying there waiting while the different stones were taken out of their warm bath and prepared, which interrupted the experience slightly (as opposed to a regular massage where the therapist’s hands move continuously throughout the treatment). This is often the case with this type of massage due to the therapist having to keep putting down and picking up the stones.
But getting to hold the warm stones in your hands is lovely. It’s a good way to relax the body for sure and worth trying once at least.”
