24 hours after wheat conversation I feel clearer than ever – as always she has worked her magic and I am moving forward – I am however going to more careful at reading the labels and being much more strict about it. Yoga and two baths later and my bones are no longer hurting and I have worked much more clearly and effectively already.

Yoga class was amazing today – our teacher is a new age teacher and her belief is that she is a mind body and soul therapist and believe me she is. Did you know that yoga started with a few stretches and then a meditation – it was then taken to Denmark and they created gymnastics and many years later it became the form it is today. My teacher however is going back to basics and our classes are not full of many difficult positions that you stand no hope of ever getting they are clear and incredibly well explained and we know what part of our body is being affected and why – to me that is yoga!

I went to see my cranial osteopath today and the first thing she told me when I lay down and she touched my feet was ‘whatever you are doing out there it is good work’ which is always good to hear from your teacher. At the end of my hour the only thing she passed onto me and believe me this is very rare in my 10 years of seeing her was – you are not taking wheat out of your diet enough – you need to take this requirement more seriously and make sure nothing passes your lips with wheat in. You will become more sensitive and the bits that are not working will work and those that don’t change will no longer matter – I have never left her room more cross ever – I had really gone in expecting to come out with so much and it felt like nothing – I already knew I could not eat wheat and I thought I was doing a good job at avoiding it but in her very clear instructions told me I was not working hard enough! Time to take my commitment to living my life seriously ……

The phrase – you will find the strength from somewhere is something we often hear when people are having a really hard time. So is strength from within but what does it really mean ? When you are authentic and and living from your soul you know what it means but for many people it is just something we say to try and help others.

Strength however is something we can choose to use or ignore – not in the physical sense as this is easy to get providing you are prepared to put effort into building that strength. Strength of mind however is much harder to obtain and it takes a brave person to go back into your soul to find it. To have that inner strength means that you are prepared to keep going even if the initial signs are telling you cant, it means that when one door closes you look for the other and it means that you never give up hope however hard it may seem.

Strength is not something to be under-estimated or taken for granted – it is very hard to find and sometimes in this world we just feel it is pushing us just that bit too far, but you know what ? even when you think it has gone if you take a little time out to acknowledge you don’t think you can and then ask yourself if you really want to stop now then that is when somehow that glimmer of hope shines out and you do find that little bit of strength to keep going….

Faith is something we seem to have a lost a lot of in our supposed modern world – faith in ourselves and faith in the human nature and if we are going to start getting healthy again we need to find it and find it pretty quickly. Faith does not have to be a religion nor something complex it is just something we believe is right and we are strong enough to keep forward believing it. My faith is that for me to be healthy in body I have to be healthy in mind first and to do this I must deal with every little thing that ‘irks’ me in life – I may not be able to deal with it right away but I must not just accept it and pretend its all ok – if we are not brave enough to face the small things then they get bigger and bigger and harder to deal with. The problem with all this is to be able to deal with the little things most of us have some pretty monumental things to deal with first because we have not been brave for so long.. So where do we start ? well we start where we feel comfortable and we take lots of little steps .. so there is no time like the present – have faith in you and your future…

Having a family is something we all take for granted but what many of us actually dont seem to have. What does family mean – to me it means that there is always someone you can count on that no matter what else is going on in their life when you shout help in whatever form it comes out they will be by your side and helping. Sometimes you dont even need to say help but they instinctively know. They will also put up with whatever craze you are going through and understand that it is something your journey needs to do and they will only step in when your path is getting out of control or they feel you are in real danger ( not an easy thing to judge and sometimes it goes horribly wrong) but the fundemental thing is they will always try.

The thing that seems to have gone wrong recently is that in order for us to do this we must be honest with eachother and communicate on many levels. If we lose this then the trust and strength is not there and the silent language disapears. In todays society family does not have to be your blood family it can be anyone we make a connection with – the most important thing is that we keep talking and we are honest with eachother. So start building your family today pick up the phone and start building a future where you do have someone that will step in just at the right time…….it takes a brave person to be honest with who they are and what they want out of life.

Accepting the good things in life – sometimes we are blessed and everything in our life goes smoothly and within reason everything we want comes into our lfie without too much effort and too much trauma but what about those of us who are not so blessed and things do not go our way how do we change this and is there something we doing to stop it from happening? We are conditioned early in our lives to believe certain things will happen in a certain way and often this stays with us throughout our life but nothing has to be the same. For those of us who are brave you can accept that things can change – if someone offers to do something kind for you say thankyou and accept it – if you suddenly get offered a free meal say yes and enjoy every scrape of it – by accepting good things can happen no matter how small you are opening yourself up to more good and by taking very small steps you can make bigger and bigger things happen. The trick is not to be suspicious and to accept kindness when it is offered – it does not mean suddenly everything will go right but it does mean you are open to the possibilties and that is the big diference – dont shut the door on good fortune just because it has not happened for a while…

We all have an ego, however how we use our ego will attract diferent people to us. We often here talk of being guided by our intuition or listening to our gut, when you do this you are not listening to your ego. There is a time in our lives for both our ego and our intuition and learning to use both makes our path much smoother and attracts more people who make us feel good about ourselves. Your ego is the voice that tells you you are not so good at things and have not achieved something, it also tells you that someone is being unkind about you or that you are better than someone else. Having said that your ego will also push that little bit further and make you work that little bit harder. Understand your ego – be kind to yourself and learn to listen to both your ego and your gut and lifes path could well become much smoother.

Tuesday 26th January

Many of us at some point in our lives will have some kind of eating disorder probably because part of our life is out of control. I for one had one when I was about 20 and it took two episodes of fainting to wake me up – I was lucky I could wake up and I could get myself better without having to seek help. An eating disorder however is very diferent to Anorexia and you cannot just wake up from Anorexia there is something in your brain which does not allow you to and it is crucial that people understand the diferences in order that many people can be saved from the gripps of it. Early signs are vital and you cannot help that person alone. Someone who already has signs of OCD is much more likely to develop anorexia than an eating disorder as is a perfectionist. The important thing to remember is that they cannot just switch it on and off and listening to your body and being as open to help is the first step to moving forward. For the person watching the sufferer remember you cannot live their life you can only guide and support and whilst it is incredibly hard you must help them take responsibility for their own life and own health. Most importantly if you think you are or someone you love is heading towards anorexia act fast and seek help.

Friday 14th January

It takes a brave person to admit that they are addicted to something and fear of failure must be something that is one of the biggest reasons for not admitting it. There is always a reason why someone becomes addicted to something and it will take a very long time for them to understand what this really was ( they may think they know but often the reason they thought it was actually turns out to be just a symptom of something else). Bravery is not something all of us are good at and it sometimes needs us to hit rock bottom before we have the courage to be brave. It also takes a brave person to stand up to the addict and often it will cause an awful lot of pain and anquish to many but that bravery is often what will save both of you. So if you know someone who is struggling with addiction in some way or if indeed you are struggling, remember how brave you are being and accept that you can only take one step at a time. Nothing changes overnight and patience and determination is what gets you to the other side.

Resolutions Debt and Miserable are three words that often come to peoples minds in January and none of them are good words to start the year off. Christmas is over and a new year has begun so why not start it off on a good note – try using Wise, Planning and Open instead. Use 2011 to acknowledge what you learnt in 2011 and why things that did not go your way happened and then start putting into action the changes you need to make, Plan you year ahead with regard to the money you do have and what you can do to make that money work for you and Be Open to all the new experiences that may present themselves to you this year, you never know where they might take you . After all we only have one life and we never know what is around the corner – start living today ….
