Your Guide to Complementary Therapies and Local Therapists
Sarah is registered with The Society of Homeopaths and trained at The London College of Practical Homoeopathy. She has been in practice since 1995 - as well a running her own clinic she has has also treated patients in a GP surgery and GP funded multi-disciplinary clinic. Sarah has also worked at the Integrated Medical Centre in London.

During a homoeopathic appointment, time and attention is given to finding out how a patient arrived at their current state of 'dis-ease' - how they respond to outside influences - emotional and physical, family and life-style. Also, a full medical family history is also noted to ascertain if there are any hereditary weakness which need to be strengthened.

Homoeopathy
Homoeopathy is an established system of medicine which stimulates the body's incredible power to self-heal. Homoeopathic remedies (prepared from plant, mineral and animal sources) are chosen to match the patient's symptom picture to encourage the body's own integrity of balance and restoration.

As a natural, chemical-free and effective form of medicine, Homoeopathy is safe for everyone, from the elderly through to pregnant women and their unborn babies. It can help nearly all forms of illness, boosting the immune system which helps the individual over-come disease.

A busy children's clinic has taken up a good part of her practice and Sarah has personally used Homoeopathy for over thirty years. During her four-year training, she worked at the Helios Homoeopathic pharmacy in Tunbridge Wells which allowed her a 'hands-on' approach from her start, into the world of healing. Her transition from the media to alternative medicine came about through being asked to support the promotion of the then new, Hastings cancer self-help centre.

The first Homoeopathic appointment will take an hour (three-quarters for children) - appointment times are shorter for subsequent visits. You will also be sent a detailed questionnaire to complete beforehand. Australian Bush Flower essences are sometimes used as an addition to Homoeopathic prescriptions. Sarah studied this powerful collection of essences in Australia at their source. Interim feedback on your symptom-picture will often be requested to monitor your progress in between appointments.

Homoeopathic First-Aid courses are run by Sarah on a regular basis to give a good grounding in self-prescribing for simple, acute home ailments for all the family.

Sarah has also written a pocket-sized book to explain how Homoeopathy works, entitled Understanding Homoeopathy.
