Pilates
The main philosophy of Pilates is to strengthen the core postural muscles and develop balanced alignment through the use of slow, controlled movements and breathing.
It develops body awareness, improves the body’s postural and alignment habits and increases flexibility. It strengthens and tones the body and leaves people feeling relaxed and revitalised.
Joseph Pilates once said ’Physical fitness is the first requisite for happiness. In order to achieve happiness it is imperative to gain mastery of your body. If at the age of 30 you feel stiff and out of shape, you are old. If at 60 you are supple and strong then you are young.’
