Reflexology

Reflexology

Reflexology is a complementary therapy that works on the hands and feet to help the body heal itself.

It comes from the ancient Chinese and uses the concept of the chi energy flows throughout the body. A reflexologist uses hands only to apply pressure to the feet. This releases and restores the free flow of energy to the whole body. It eases tensions in the body and aids circulation.

The theory behind reflexology is that different reflex points on the feet and hands are linked to other areas and organs in the body. Reflexology can be used to restore and maintain the body’s natural equilibrium and encourages healing. Reflexology treats the whole person not just the symptoms, and in doing so it can help problems such as infertility, migraines, circulation, sleep disorders, stress related illness, sinus trouble, IBS, and acute or chronic conditions.
