I have been practising acupuncture for over 10 years. I trained for 3 years and qualified as an acupuncturist at The College of Traditional Acupuncture in Leamington Spa. This training was mainly in what is known as 5 element acupuncture. Later I did a further 2 years training (part-time) at The College of Integrated Chinese Medicine in Reading.
This 2nd course was taken to give me training in the other main school of acupuncture known as TCM. In my practice I regularly use both and like many practitioners, trained in both find this integrated approach has the most potential for success in the treatment room.
